Today's episode is a very short conversation about myth busting Real estate perception. There so many people that earn a real estate license or dream to get a real estate license and think that business is just going to come by osmosis. Trust me when I say it's going to take a minimum of 3 to 5 years for things to just flow your way. Work the hours or spend the money is the best advice I can give you. I was lucky enough to start on a strong team with an amazing mentor. My suggestion is take every class you can, treat this as a career not a job, and be willing to commit to the hours.
This weeks podcast is with Brian LaRoche who specializes in wealth management.
What are the areas people should focus on when starting your wealth plan? The purpose of all savings is to build income for your future. So the one question you should ask is.. "How does this effect my ability to create income when I retire?"

How much you spend on your house has a huge impact on your financial ability to to do other things. How much should you spend on your house as a percentage of your income? What things do people not account for when owning a home?

I had the pleasure of chatting with Betsy Hughes, SRA with BK Appraisals. Appraisers holding the SRA designation have met rigorous requirements relating to education, testing, experience and demonstration of knowledge, understanding, and ability. This designation sets her apart from the typical residential appraiser. In order to maintain the designation continuing education above the state requirements is required.
We asked some of our listeners what things do you want to ask a real estate appraiser:
What are the requirements that a real estate appraiser is looking for when determining the appraised market value?
Does it help for a real estate agent to forward upgrades and comparables to help determine sales price?
What are the value of swimming pools and acreages?
Learn more about drone photography ( flying camera systems) with Jimmy Olivero, Skycam USA on this weeks podcast.
If you are looking for aerial photography/video make sure you use a licensed and insured drone operator because of the laws and regulations that you may not be aware of. There are many benefits to using aerial photography because of the many views and angles you can get, especially for the waterfront properties.
And if you are looking to get your own drone make sure you know how to operate a drone safely, the correct filters to use, how to frame a shot and obtain correct lighting to make sure you get the best shots of the property. Otherwise hiring a professional is advised.
